Scrawny high school student Hobin Yoo is probably the last guy you’d expect to star in a NewTube channel that revolves around fighting. But after following some advice from a mysterious NewTube channel, Hobin is soon knocking out guys stronger than him and raking in more money than he could have ever dreamed of. Can Hobin keep this up, or will he eventually meet his match?

Bleach (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. It follows the adventures of a teenager Ichigo Kurosaki, who inherits his parents’ destiny after he obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper—a death personification similar to the Grim Reaper—from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki. His new-found powers allow him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife, and set him on journeys to various ghostly realms of existence.

Bleach was serialized in Shueisha‘s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from August 2001 to August 2016, with its chapters collected in 74 tankōbon volumes. The series has spawned a media franchise that includes an anime television series adaptation that was produced by Tokyo-based studio Pierrot from 2004 to 2012, two original video animation (OVA) episodes, four animated feature films, ten stage musicals, and numerous video games, as well as many types of Bleach-related merchandise. A Japanese live-action film adaptation produced by Warner Bros. premiered in 2018. A sequel to the anime television series premiered in 2022.

In North America, the manga was licensed for English release by Viz Media in 2004. They have released the collected volumes and published its chapters in their Shonen Jump magazine from November 2007 until the magazine’s final issue in April 2012.

Bleach received the 50th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shōnen category in 2005. The manga had over 130 million tankōbon volumes in circulation worldwide by 2022, making it one of the best-selling manga in history.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese anime television series based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. The anime television series adaptation by Ufotable was announced in Weekly Shōnen Jump on June 4, 2018.[1] The series aired from April 6 to September 28, 2019, on Tokyo MX, GTV, GYT, and BS11.[2][3] The series is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, and the series’ characters were designed by Akira Matsushima. The show is written by various Ufotable staff members and produced by Hikaru Kondo.[4] The show’s music is composed by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina.

Kengan Ashura (ケンガンアシュラ^?) est un shōnen manga scénarisé par Yabako Sandrovich et dessiné par Daromeon, prépublié dans le magazine Ura Sunday entre avril 2012 et août 2018 et publié par l’éditeur Shōgakukan en un total de 27 volumes reliés. La version française est publiée par Meian à partir de juin 2021.

Solo Leveling, also alternatively translated as Only I Level Up (Korean: 나 혼자만 레벨업; RR: Na Honjaman Rebeleop), is a South Korean web novel written by Chugong. It was serialized in Kakao’s digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage beginning on July 25, 2016, and was later published in full by D&C Media under their Papyrus label on November 4, 2016. The novel has been licensed in English by Yen Press. A webtoon adaptation of Solo Leveling was first serialized in KakaoPage on March 4, 2018; it was illustrated by Jang Sung-rak (aka Dubu), the CEO of Redice Studio, who died on July 23, 2022, after suffering from a cerebral hemorrhage. The webtoon’s first season concluded on March 19, 2020, and its second season began on August 1, 2020, concluding in December 2021 with its 179th chapter. Its individual chapters have been collected and published by D&C Media into seven volumes as of February 2023. The webtoon has been licensed in English by Yen Press. A role-playing video game is in development at Netmarble. An anime television series adaptation by A-1 Pictures is set to premiere in Q1 2024.

Sakigake!! Otokojuku (Japanese: 魁!!男塾, lit. “Charge!! Men’s Private School”), also known as simply Otokojuku, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akira Miyashita. It was originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1985 to 1991. It is staged in an all-boys school that teaches how to be true men. The students are trained to “revive the Spirit of Japan” and mainly engage in events where they will polish their manhood and push through with their guts.
